Breitling Navitimer Watches

The Breitling Navitimer is the world's oldest continuously produced chronograph and has been a symbol of the Breitling brand since 1952. In the 1940s, Breitling added a circular slide rule to the bezel of their chronograph, making it invaluable to pilots and aviation enthusiasts, and creating their first Navitimer design. During the 1950s and 1960s, the Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association began to offer the design with their own logo on the dial. In 1962, astronaut Scott Carpenter wore a specially made Navitimer with a 24-hour dial during his orbits around the earth; the design was later produced as the Cosmonaute Navitimer. Navitimers are constructed with an in-house chronograph certified by the COSC and feature an aviation slide rule on the bezel. The current Navitimer models -- the 01, World, Cosmonaute, and 1461 -- are available in steel and red gold, dependent upon model.
