Titanium head and bracelet, black tritium dial, mecha-quartz (Cal. 631 produced by JLC), 12-hour chronograph, date, Ref. 3727.01, 37mm, Like New in Box with Papers- Width: 37 mm / Height: 43 mm / Thickness: 11 mm
There is a special place in watchmaking history for the mecha-quartz, a hybrid of mechanical watchmaking and quartz accuracy. There is also a special place in the heart of watch aficionados for the movements made by Jaeger LeCoultre for other watch brands. This late 90s production IWC GST Chronograph bears a JLC mecha-quartz movement making a great collectors piece. It was purchased new in 2004 (likely as new old stock) and is in impeccable condition. The dial has one of the later uses of tritium that we have seen, which means it will develop a beautiful patina in time. -P.J.
