The Speedmaster ‘57 is something of a throwback model with vintage elements borrowed from earlier Speedmasters such as the straight lugs, lack of crown guard and flat link bracelet. Inside, however, it is as modern as can be with Omega’s newest Caliber 9300 movement. Co-axial escapement? Check! Column wheel chronograph? Check! Silicon balance? Check! This model sits comfortably at 41.5mm, notably smaller than the new 44.25mm Moonwatch and much more in line with other timeless chronographs such as the original Moonwatch. This specific piece is unworn and complete with a considerable amount of factory warranty remaining.
The new Omega 9300 movement sports a column wheel chronograph, a silicon balance spring, 2 barrels, a rhodium plated finish, and of course the Co-Axial Escapement. It has a power reserve of 60 hours.
