Rolex Yacht-Master Watches
The Rolex Yacht-Master, introduced in 1992 in 18 karat yellow gold, is emblematic of the ties between Rolex and the maritime lifestyle that has existed since the 1950s. Designed around an Oyster case and bracelet -- meaning the watches are guaranteed waterproof to at least 100 meters, or 300-3900 meters for the divers' versions -- and built in 40mm, 35mm, and 29mm sizes, Yacht-Masters can be found in gold and stainless steel, with platinum and mother-of-pearl dials. The most recent incarnation of the Yacht-Master also utilizes a bidirectional rotatable 60-minute bezel, a triplock winding crown that offers three times the normal amount of waterproofing, and a parachrom oscillator hairspring, which is insensitive to magnetic fields and can be more than 10x more effect against shocks, greatly increasing the watch's accuracy.
