The Speedmaster Rattrapante is one of the rarer variations of the modern Speedmaster. With its robust case, it is reminiscent of the X-33, but in Stainless Steel and with a Chronometer certified caliber 3600, based on the venerable Valjoux 7750 modified for the Rattrapante or Split Seconds complication. To time laps or different finishing times, the wearer can stop the flyback hand independently while the regular chronograph hand keeps moving, in effect "splitting" the hand(s) in two. It is estimated that fewer than 5000 of these models were made in this model’s short run (1999-2002). This piece is in pristine collector condition and has just had a full overhaul service performed.
