Stainless Steel, Oyster bracelet (SEL) with flip-lock clasp, fixed 24-hour bezel, white dial, automatic Chronometer (Cal. 3185), dual time zone, date, screw-down crown, Ref. 16570, Y serial, warranty dated September 2003, 40mm, never polished, Like New in Box with Papers


    A rare find with all original finish that was well kept enough to not require polishing. You will see light scuffing on the bracelet, but it is worth it to be able to see the grain of the factory brushing.

    • The classic Explorer II 16570 was released in 1990. The original model had the Rolex 3185 caliber, tritium markers, holed lugs, and was offered in white or black dials.
    Rolex continued to produce this series until 2011. Around 1999 (in the midst of the A series), the bracelet was updated with the Solid-End-Link (SEL) bracelet and and Superluminova luminous material. In 2003 (F series), they dropped the lug holes. The final change was in 2007 (M series) when Rolex started installing the 3186 caliber.
    It was replaced by the 216570 in 2011.
